Front Office Manager
The Rees Hotel Queenstown seeks an experienced and ambitious leader, as Front Office Manager you will lead our Front Office team into the next phase of our development. Our Queenstown hotel attracts discerning high end guests from around the world looking for a uniquely New Zealand experience.

As an experienced hotelier and head of department — you will have outstanding leadership skills. You will be responsible and accountable for organising and controlling the daily operations of the department and hotel in the absence of the General Manager.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the right applicant will have:

- Leadership Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A superior guest service focus
- Hold a relevant tertiary industry qualification
- A minimum of 3 years Front Office experience with at least 12 months as a Senior Duty Manager in a 4* + hotel
- A financial focus with a strong understanding of yield management
- Excellent knowledge of reservations – direct and oversee reservations including managing relationships with OTAs, Wholesalers & Travel Agents
- The ability to write and implement procedures and policy for the front office department
- The ability to motivate, inspire, and lead the team to greater heights
- Experience with Guest Centrix CMS is a distinct advantage, but not a necessary requirement
- Hold a valid and current Manager’s Certificate/Liquor Controller Qualification

Sous Chef
As an experienced Chef – you will be joining our team of passionate chefs. You will assist the Executive Chef as 2IC to deliver outstanding gastronomic experiences in our award winning ‘True South Dining Room’.

Level of skill, experience and attributes
Have relevant prior experience in high quality properties
Understanding of Food Safety and impeccable hygiene practices
Assists with the management of departmental Health & Safety
Understanding of stock control and experience with menu planning
Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
Passionate about “Customer Service/Care”
Be able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
Effective communication skills
Available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays
Enjoys working as part of a highly focused team

Chef De Partie
Purpose of position

- Effective communication skills

Painter (Full Time)
Purpose of Position
You will assist the Maintenance Team with painting /decorating work, maintenance of hotel buildings, grounds and facilities. As an Experienced Painter, you are responsible for consistently maintaining the general up-keep of the hotel according to the required minimum standards.

Level of skill, experience and attributes
- Painting and/or decorating experience is essential
- Relevant prior experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings (commercial)
- Physically fit to carry out heavy work which involves lifting
- Experience in working outdoors
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A current driver’s license

Housekeeping Supervisor
Purpose of position
As an experienced and professional Housekeeping Supervisor, you will lead a team of high performing team members. You will work alongside your team to ensure all accommodations, hotel public and private areas are serviced, cleaned, and maintained to our minimum required 5 star standards.

Level of Skill, Experience and Attributes
- Accuracy and an “eye for detail”
- At least a minimum of 1 year experience as a Housekeeping Team Leader or Supervisor in high-quality properties
- “Can do attitude” with a commitment to team work
- Must be physically fit
- High standard of personal presentation
- Demonstrates initiative
- Punctual and reliable
- A second language is highly desirable
- Responsible and accountable
- Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

ROOM ATTENDANT(S)
Purpose of Position
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, be guest service driven and enjoy exceeding guests’ expectations. You will be proactive and focused on cleaning, maintaining and servicing all guest accommodations, hotel public and private areas to the required standards.

Previous housekeeping experience – highly desirable
